For most of the courses in the Web Program, you will be required to sign up for two subscriptions each semester. These are essential to the classes; you MUST sign up for these subscriptions or you will be missing a significant portion of the courses. If you are having financial difficulty with signing up for the subscriptions, please contact your instructor; there may be financial aid that can help.
The good news is that if you are in multiple CMWEB courses for the 8 week session, you only need to subscribe to the following services ONCE. So you do not have to subscribe for each class, you only need to subscribe one time and that gives you access for all of your classes. NOTE: if you have 1st 8 week classes and 2nd 8 week classes you will need to sign up for a subscription EACH 8 week session. However, you will use the same site that you used for your 1st 8 week class.
If you have any problems signing up, please contact your instructor, they will be happy to help.
Since this is required for the course, if your financial aid covers books for class, you can use your financial aid to cover the subscriptions. In order to use your financial aid for the subscription, you MUST go to the ICC bookstore and use your financial aid to purchase two prepaid Visa cards, one for Web Professionals and one for LinkedIn Learning.
Financial aid will not reimburse you if you use your own credit card to sign up; you must purchase the bookstore gift cards.
**NOTE** If you have trouble using the Visa gift cards on the LinkedIn Learning site:
Sometimes the Visa gift cards will only allow charges that are run as "one time" charges, and we have had problems in the past where the site runs the charges as "recurring".
If this happens, you will need to use a slightly different process. You still need to purchase the Visa gift cards from the ICC bookstore if you are on financial aid, but instead of using the Visa card to actually sign up, use your own credit or debit card to sign up, and use the money on the bookstore Visa card to reimburse yourself by using it to purchase food/gas/etc. Please contact your instructor if you do not have your own credit or debit card to use, or if you have any questions or any other problems.
ICC is an accredited Web Professionals Academy. As such, our students receive access to their professional training materials that are included in the courses. This subscription is required, as it not only gives you access to content, it also provides you with a student web site to post your work.
Note: all students must post their work on their Web Professionals student site for grading, as your instructors have full access to the sites, and this allows them to assess your site layout, look at server side code, and help with your assignments if needed.
The Web Professionals Academy Course Subscription is a charge of $35 per 8 week session.
If you are in multiple CMWEB courses, you only need to subscribe ONCE for the 8 week session; you don't need a subscription for every class. NOTE: if you have 1st 8 week classes and 2nd 8 week classes you will need to sign up for a subscription EACH 8 week session.
In the event that you need to drop the class for any reason, please contact your instructor as you may be eligible for a partial refund of your subscription fee.
You MUST use the following link to enroll!!!! If you simply go to the Web Professional site and use their normal subscription process, YOU WILL NOT BE GIVEN ACCESS TO THE CLASS MATERIALS AND YOUR WEBSITE WILL NOT BE SET UP!!!!
Using the following link gives you a special subscription that includes the extra items available to students in the ICC Web program since we are an accredited Web Professional Academy.
If you are on financial aid, use the visa card you purchased in the bookstore to sign up

Click on the button that says "Pay for Web Prof Academy Course Sub". DO NOT log in even if you previously had an account.
EVEN IF YOU WERE PREVIOUSLY A MEMBER, DO NOT LOG IN. Enter your Name, Email, Card Number, Card Expiration, and Card CVC Code. MAKE SURE YOU USE YOUR ICC EMAIL ADDRESS; this is how Web Professionals knows you are part of the ICC Web Academy and that they need to create (or keep activated) your student website. Your ICC Email address is usually your Canvas Username@lab.icc.edu.
Make sure the amount says $35. If it says any other amount, STOP and close the window; somehow you have clicked on the wrong payment link. Go back to the Subscription Handout and click on the Web Professionals Signup Link again. If you still have trouble, contact your instructor-thanks!
Once you have entered all the information and ensured that everything looks correct, click the "Pay" button.
This will bring you to the next page. Once you reach this page, STOP and CLOSE THE WINDOW.
DO NOT LOG IN, even if you have had a subscription before, and DO NOT fill out the New Member information. Web Professionals will create your account from here.
If you have any questions or have any problems, please feel free to contact your instructor.
After you have subscribed to Web Professionals, they will set up your student website and add access to materials. I will notify you with your access credentials as soon as everything is set up; it may take a few days before it is available so it is best to sign up early in the week.
If you had a site from the previous semester, it should still be active and should still use the same access credentials. Note that you still need to pay the subscription fee, because Web Professionals deletes sites that do not have active subscriptions a few weeks into the semester.
You will also need a subscription to the video learning site LinkedIn Learning. One nice thing about completing the course on LinkedIn Learning is that as you complete each video learning course, it will be recorded in your LinkedIn Learning account as proof of your continued learning.
LinkedIn Learning costs $40 per month; for an 8 week class you will need 2 months.
IMPORTANT: there is an option for a monthly or a yearly subscription; you want the monthly subscription, otherwise you will be charged for a year at a time. If you find it useful, you could get a yearly subscription as you save money that way, but as noted, you have to pay it in advance, and they do NOT give refunds for a partial year.
VERY IMPORTANT: Note, this is an automatic monthly subscription, so at the end of the semester you MUST cancel it, or your card will continue to be charged. This is YOUR responsibility; LinkedIn Learning does NOT issue refunds, so don't forget to cancel unless you want to continue to use LinkedIn Learning after the class is over.
